Physical Therapist St. Augustine

Emily McKinnon, DPT

About Me

Emily is excited to combine her expertise of physical therapy and dance as a new resource to St. Augustine and FM Medical. After receiving her Bachelor of Fine Art in dance and choreography from Ohio University, Emily danced and taught professionally throughout NYC, NJ, and CT for 10 years as a modern dancer. While teaching ballet, modern, and pointe to ages 4 – adult, Emily was also a Fitness Director and successful personal trainer during her time in the northeast. Her love of movement, art and wellness inspired her to return to school and earn her Doctor of Physical Therapy from the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences. She utilizes an extensive repertoire with foundations in evidence-based physical therapy practice, manual therapy, yoga, Pilates, dance, and Thai massage to facilitate healing. Her diverse background affords her the knowledge and skill set to develop a holistic approach to physical therapy that stems from an artistic and athletic perspective. Emily is delighted to call St. Augustine home where she lives with her fiancé and two cats. During her free time she enjoys playing and relaxing at the beach, being a yogi, dancing, and traveling.
